It's Official!
I registered for Broad Street tonight. And I felt a tremendous sense of pride when I got my confirmation number. I can't believe I am going to run this race again. This will be my fourth time; but my first race since I've had my beautiful children. I really thought my racing days were over. I was running a bit here and there, but nothing too serious or consistent. Now with four weeks in December (when I laced up my sneaks again) and the 7 weeks of training with TEAM STANS under my belt, I feel like an athlete again. Yep, I'm proud of myself!

I registered last night too! Yay us! I am registered under the Independence Blue Cross Member page and am looking forward to my free pair of socks! :) I also mailed in my Leprechaun race form for 3/14. Still contemplating the Get Your Rear in Gear 5K on 3/22. I REALLY want the t-shirt! anyone else in for that one???
ReplyDeleteThis is my 1st time and I am excited, apprehensive, and sad all at the same time. Outside of being on a track team, I have only ever run 1 5K and that was years ago. I am looking forward to taking on this challenge!
We should ALL be proud! I know that Bruce is very proud of all of us and humbled that he has influenced so many of us to do this!
