Registraion for the 2010 Broad Street Run opens in February! If you haven't already, it's time to strat training! Joe's training schedule from last year can still be accessed by looking a past posts.
I found out this morining that I am already out of shape and need to start preparing now..... So I was convinced to run the Philly half marathon in November. It was a little cold at the start, but it was a really good day for running. I finished in just under 2 hours, about 9 minute miles, which I was happy about. Then we hit the holiday desserts! I got up this morning to do an easy 3 mile run before work and wsa afraid I wasn't going to make it!
I really want to increase my speed for this years run. I found it difficult to follow Joe's speed workouts last year more for a measured place to do them. My plan, therefore, is to do 3 mile runs on Tuesday and Thursday mornings with a long run on Saturday morning. This will go until March (or whenever basketball is done in South). Then I'll follow Joe's speed workouts through April.
